NSA makes available these fine books on photography and related subjects. Books prefixed with (ST) have some stereoviews reproduced; the number indicates what percentage of the illustrations are stereos. Those prefixed with (P) are illustrated with photos, often from stereoview halves. Those with no prefix are either illustrated with line drawings or are primarily textual. All are soft-bound and quarto size unless otherwise noted. Book sizes are approximately as follows: 'Folio ; 10" x 13"; "4to." (quarto) 8" x 11"; 8vo. "(octavo), 6" x 8". These books are available to members and non-members alike.

THE HISTORICAL SERIES.

#1: The Stereoscope and Stereograph, Roy W. Mabie, 1942, 72/38 pp., many line drawings of viewers and views (no photos). Mabie was an early New York dealer and his booklet dealt both with history and values. The first known sales catalog for stereo materials. $5.00.

#2: George W. Hamilton's 1949 Lecture to the Newcomen Society, 32/24 pp. He was president of the Keystone View Co. and discussed the history of stereo. Plus, report from W.W. Taylor on stereo activity in Littleton, N.H. in 1930. $4.00.

#3: Dialogues with Dr. William C. Darrah by John Waldsmith & T.K. Treadwell. Interviews conducted on the subject of stereo; some were published in Stereo World, others are printed here for the first time. 25 pp. $5.00

CATALOGS

These are reproductions of vintage catalogs which cover entirely or mainly stereo views unless otherwise noted. The small pages of the original catalogs are consolidated (at original size or larger) several to a 8 1/2" X 11" page. The pages are given as follows: X/Y in which X=number of original pages and Y=number of reproduced pages. Many also include listings of the views actually known from collections. Most have a biography of the photographer and examples of his work.

BOXED SET BOOKLETS

This series provides copies of the booklets originally issued with their boxed sets by Keystone, Underwood, and other makers. Some list only the views by title, others have extended discussions of the area, long descriptions of the views, and maps.
